Great and renowned figures for their professional careers and young promises make up the program of the XXV Pilar Bayona Cycle of Great Soloists, one of the most prestigious in all of Europe, which will take place in the Zaragoza Auditorium from February to December 2022. The public will be able to enjoy, in the Mozart Hall and complying with all the health security measures required at the time, a total of ten great concerts by excellent national and international pianists, such as Grigory Sokolov, Christian Zacharias, Joaquín Achúcarro, Alessio Bax, Sergei Yerokhin, Alexandre Tharaud, Juan Pérez Floristán, Elena Bashkirova, as well as the young performers Leo de María and Javier Montañés.

The new cycle will kick off on February 24 with the charismatic art of Grigory Sokolov.

The Italian Alessio Bax, one of the most outstanding young pianists at the moment, will be at the Auditorium on March 30.

On May 3, the young man from Madrid, Leo de María, will offer his concert at the Auditorium with a program of works by Mozart, Granados, Liszt, Schumann and Ravel.

The only female figure that is part of the cycle this year is the Russian Elena Bashkirova, who will perform at the Zaragoza Auditorium on June 6.

On September 26, the Mozart Hall will host Javier Montañés from Zaragoza, a young pianist who with great effort and continuous work managed to get a place to study his master’s degree at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik Carl María von Weber in Dresden, as well as being the winner of the Pilar Bayona Piano Scholarship 2020.

On October 5, Alexandre Tharaud will participate in this cycle of Great Soloists. Throughout a career spanning 25 years, he has become a unique figure in the world of classical music and a key exponent of the piano in France.

The renowned German pianist and conductor Christian Zacharias will perform at the Zaragoza Auditorium on November 1.

Sevillian Juan Pérez Floristán, a benchmark among the new generations of Spanish and European musicians, will offer his concert on November 28.

The Pilar Bayoya Great Soloists cycle concludes on December 13 with the great Bilbao master Joaquín Achúcarro.
