IMPACTS WITH HIS TALENT AT THE PIANO

The prestigious Madrid interpreter, one of the best of his generation, premiered the Pianíssim 2019 cycle of Xátiva.

Last Sunday, Xátiva had the privilege of listening to the internationally renowned pianist Leo de María who, invited by the Joventuts Musicals de la Costera association, inaugurated this year’s Piansíssim concert series. This first concert took place in the Royal Monastery of Santa Clara, a space that has already hosted two performances since it was acquired by the Xátiva City Council.

The performer adapted to difficult conditions that would have undermined the performance if it hadn’t been for the talent of an artist whom critics have defined as one of the best and most complete pianists on the international art scene. Leo offered a magnificent and admirable interpretation of great composers such as Beethoven, Schumann and Liszt, especially Ravel’s La Valse, with which he demonstrated extraordinary precision and naturalness.

In the concert, much applauded, Leo de María delighted with an excellent technical skill and an impressive musicality, which generated several minutes of applause and enthusiasm from the audience, standing up and applauding in unison.

A vibrant, energetic and passionate Malagueña resonated between the walls as an encore and once again raised those present from their seats.
